The natural characteristic of the Hackle feather is that the feather has a Strong central shaft having a narrow soft webbing at the base and the feather tapers gradually towards the top.

Chicken "Saddle" Feathers in the Natural color 'Badger' are the feathers from the back region of the Domestic Chicken. The natural characteristic of the Saddle feather is that the feather has a pliable central shaft having a wide soft webbing at the base and the feather tapers narrowly towards the top.

Chicken "Schlappen" Feathers in the Natural color 'Grey Chinchilla' are the feathers from the back region just before the tail section of the Domestic Chicken. The natural characteristic of the Schlappen feather is that the feather has a stiffer central shaft having a wide soft webbing at the base and the feather tapers broadly towards the top. Extremely rare Coque Tail Feathers are bleached and dyed in bright vibrant colors. Each feather is expertly Sized, Sorted, Bleached, Dyed, Steamed and Cleaned in a smoke free environment.
