The Schlappen feathers are the feathers from the back region just before the tail section of the Domestic Chicken.
The natural characteristic of this particular type of Coque Chicken Schlappen feather which are rather long is that the feather has a stiffer central shaft having a wide soft webbing at the base and the feather tapers to a point towards the top.
